Blackheads and acne is a multi-million dollar industry, and it is not surprising that there are literally THOUSANDS of treatments, cures and medications out there. But how many of them actually work? When it comes to choosing the route to get rid of blackheads, you have three main options;

  • Fear of embarrassment for visiting your doctor.
  • Some drugs have serious side effects – i.e. Accutane
  • Easy to get hold of.
  • No serious side effects.
  • Very expensive.
  • No guarantee that it will work.
Home Remedy Blackhead Treatments
  • Ingredients easy to get hold of – supermarkets.
  • Cheap!
  • Takes time to make treatments.
  • Too many “useless” remedy treatments out there.

But most blackhead treatments will be similar, if we look at the Causes of blackheads, then you will see the main cause is;

  • Excess accumulation of oils – from make-up or dirt/bacteria in the air

So most effective blackhead treatments will aim to remove or reduce the excess oils which cause blackheads to form!
